I came in as a transfer student the same year that Sarah did, which is how I met her. She was always smiling and always kind. I have been a classroom teacher for 28 years, and I teach in Northwest DC now. I knew that Sarah was teaching and working in Baltimore Public Schools, and I had hoped to reconnect with her, but I missed my chance. I do know that she is legendary in Baltimore for her work with students and their families. She leaves a legacy that would make anyone take notice.
